Turkish law provides for 19 laws, laws for foreigner’s laws in laws for foreigners, laws for foreigners abroad.

Ways to obtain Turkish citizenship according to the new Turkish laws:
1 – General application, whereby the foreigner applies for citizenship after completing the required criteria such as the Turkish language, the presence of income or work, residence in Turkey for five years without interruption, eligibility (age not less than 18 years), freedom from diseases, good morals, and no obstruction National security and public order.
2 – Work residency for a period of 5 continuous years (a leave can be obtained during which it does not exceed six months).
3 – The exceptional submission, in which the foreigner obtains Turkish citizenship through an offer from the ministry without considering the usual conditions, provided that national security and public order are not impeded, or by filling out a petition approved by the Turkish Ministry of Interior and the General Immigration Department in Ankara and from the General Directorate of Population and Citizenship Affairs (Souls) in Ankara.
Attaching the full information and documents that qualify the applicant for citizenship, certified by his country’s consulate in Istanbul and translated, then handing it over to the souls office in the Wali’s building in the applicant’s state or to the General Directorate of Population and Citizenship Affairs (General Souls Department) or by sending it to the address of the General Immigration Department In Ankara.
4 – Marry a Turkish citizen.
5 – Economic investment or purchase of real estate (house, office, …) or several real estate for an amount in excess of $ 250,000.
6 – Whoever has Turkish origins, and this can be proven by presenting the necessary documents.
7 – Adoption, in which citizenship is a right granted to minors who are adopted by a Turkish family.

1 – Submit the application.
2- Transferring the application file from the Immigration Directorate to the General Directorate of Personal Status (Al Noufous).
3- A security search in the applicant’s file.
4- Announcing the acceptance or rejection of the application.
5- Complete the transaction for those accepted.
The papers needed to apply for the application:
Birth certificate, passport, marriage certificate or celibate certificate. If there are any other documents needed by the concerned authorities, they may be requested during the application stages.
In the absence of a passport, the applicant must present documents proving his identity.
As for the stages of submitting a citizenship application in the event of buying a property, they differ as follows:
1 – Submit the real estate purchase contract with the citizenship application to the General Directorate of Land Registry and Title Deed.
2 – Transferring demand for souls.
3 – Security search in the file and verification of the validity of the contract.
4- The approval of the General Directorate of Land Registry is obtained within 3 or 7 days, after which the Immigration and Passports Office is directed to apply for residency (if not available) and then the General Directorate of Civil Registration and Turkish Citizenship is directed and followed up at the responsible authorities in Ankara and Istanbul within 30 days .
The family of the investor, after obtaining the property, can also obtain Turkish citizenship, if they fulfil the necessary conditions, such as being over 18 years old and free of diseases.
